Parish Lenten Mission—Be Transformed: Life and Healing in the Eucharist
Our thanks to Fr. Tim Anastos for an inspiring start to this year's Lenten Mission! Centered around Jesus' Abiding Presence, Fr. Tim's profound insight into the Eucharist revealing Jesus' desire to be close to us, His delight in us, and His wish to be held by us, set the tone for our Mission. On Tuesday, Fr. Dan continued the journey with Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, emphasizing that Reconciliation is a vital step in drawing closer to Jesus. He likened the Sacrament to taking out the trash, a cleansing process that purifies and rejuvenates our spiritual lives.
If you weren't able to join Monday or Tuesday, there's still time! Let's come together in prayer and reflection, embracing the healing power of the Eucharist at tonight's Healing Mass with Fr. Louis. May this Lenten journey strengthen our faith and deepen our connection with Jesus. Today's schedule includes:
-
8:15am Blessed Sacrament will be exposed following Mass and St. Julian Eymard Church will remain open for Adoration as usual
-
Miracles Exhibit open in Shea Hall throughout the day, SJE
-
6:30pm Intergenerational Rosary, SJE
-
7:00pm Healing Mass, SJE
-
Fellowship in Shea Hall at St. Julian Eymard Church immediately following Mass

YOUTH MINISTRY CORNER
In the spirit of this penitential season, Mr. Van offers this Teen Lenten Challenge. Each week he'll provide 2 of the stations of the cross, including a reflection for each station and then offer a penance challenge for the week at the end of each email. If you haven't already selected a penance for this Lent or would like to make your Lenten season even more meaningful, give it a try! (Adults can participate too! ) So, here we go...
Contact Mr. Van for the reflection for Stations 9 and 10. Your challenge this week: Gather some nice new or gently used clothes and other necessary accessories to donate to a shelter or charity shop or even someone you know who is suffering the indignation of not having anything decent to wear. When you donate, find a way to do it anonymously so they don’t have to suffer the indignation of you knowing their plight. Remember: the Father sees what no one else sees and your reward will be great in Heaven. God is never outdone in generosity!
Youth Ministry will again present the Living Stations of the Cross for the parish on Good Friday. Rehearsals will be on Sundays at 3pm and begin the first Sunday of Lent, February 18th, at St. Julian Eymard Church.
