This morning we gathered for worship with a precious few in person and many joining the Facebook Live service! This was our first time live-streaming and it worked really well. We are learning about the software and hardware that we are using and will be tinkering with it this week. Thank you for your patience as we fine-tune, particularly with regard to the audio. I’m confident that next week when we’re going solely live that we’ll be ready!
I know that some of you had difficulty tracking down the stream on the
PCWS Facebook page
I’m sorry about that. Later this week I’ll send an email with some screenshot images to show you how to find the feed, and next week the feed should be easier to see. We’ll also add a link to the PCWS homepage at
In case you’re having difficulty with the Facebook stream,
here’s a link
to view the recorded service from this morning. I encourage you to take some time and worship with us, even if it is a few hours later.
Please do reach out to me with any needs you may have. We have identified people who stand ready to help. I also want to encourage you, during this time when we’re being encouraged to “isolate” to break the isolation by making phone calls, sending text and emails, and dropping cards in the mail. Get creative about reaching out to one another and to those you love!
Additionally, please note that the church office will be CLOSED this week. If you have any needs related to the office, please call and leave me a voicemail (not the general voicemail box) or send me an email.
Finally, I have a fun opportunity for you! A few weeks ago we committed ourselves to gathering food for our local food pantry. With the suspension of worship, it is easy to forget that challenge. I have placed a large trash can outside the doors to the office from the parking lot. Let’s FILL THE CAN with nonperishable items for the food pantry! If you’re at the store, pick up some cans, some peanut butter … whatever you can. If you don’t need to go to the store, but have some extra items at home, please bring them by! This is a “drive-by” way that we can extend the love of our community to others. It also gives you a chance to stop by your church (briefly!). You can say a little prayer when you do!
