Greetings!
Our Life’s Purpose!
Our life’s purpose Is to seek to KNOW God personally. To want to be like Him. To attempt to do right and discover that “In Self’s will power alone” we are not able to change our heart emotions, thoughts, habits as we desire. We get discouraged! So, we seek God again for Him to teach us how, “In Christ—under His Guidance” we can change all these things.
God’s part is offering us His Life, His Divine power to live His life. He bids us “Come Unto Me.” “Come now let us reason together.” “I know how to direct your steps to subdue your iniquities.” “In Me is life … to as many as receive Him, to them gave He power to become the Sons of God.” John 1:4, 11-12.
Our part is to receive—to take Christ into our heart to rule over our flesh, to choose to obey His will, to yield (surrender) to do His will, to rely upon His power in me to accomplish His transformation, and to be all in to cooperate against the pull of my flesh to be Doers of His Word and not hearers only. Without my choice, consent, and cooperation God cannot change me. The choice and action is ours to give, to do, by our free will choice.
As we yolk up with Jesus, He can change our thoughts, feelings, emotions, habits, inclinations and even our history habits. It takes both Christ’s Divine power and my choices and cooperating with His lead. Do you know Him in this way? Taste and see that the Lord is good. He is there to Redeem us all from our self-led life.
