BANZAI CORNER - Great Erie's Online Financial Literacy Program
Banzai insider education - In response to rapidly spiking inflation, the Fed plans to raise interest rates - aggressively, if needed. Inflation measures how much prices rise over time. When prices rise, the value of a dollar falls and your purchasing power goes down.
What is inflation? The price of goods and services - stuff you buy - isn't constant; prices change over time. When prices go up, that's inflation. During moments of inflation, it takes more money to buy products and services. This means that purchasing power goes down.
To measure inflation and purchasing power, economists look at a price index, often the Consumer Price Index (CPI), which measures the average price of goods at specific moments in time. Economists then compare changes in cost averages to figure out the rate at which they've gone up. The rate is the rate of inflation and is measured as a percentage. Inflation 101: knowledge is power.

Signs that you're paying for too many subscription services

Subscription services are great. But they are also plentiful and costly. While we all love subs for their convenience factor, you could probably cut back on some and save some cash. Here are some signs you're in too deep with subs.
