A Message from the Executive Director

Dear Colleague,

CUGH2026 starts in just 3 weeks. We are delighted that nearly 1200 colleagues from around the world have registered for the conference. We have a stellar list of outstanding speakers and sessions that will address an array of contemporary challenges. Please share the following link widely www.cugh2026.org and encourage colleagues and students to attend the meeting.

NOTE: A LIMITED NUMBER OF DISCOUNTED ROOM RATES ARE AVAILABLE UNTIL MARCH 19. TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THEM AT: www.cugh2026.org/hotel.

ALSO INVITE YOUR COLLEAGUES AND STUDENTS TO ATTEND OUR PRE-CONFERENCE WORKSHOPS ON APRIL 9. THEY ARE FREE AND OPEN TO ALL: www.cugh2026.org/pre-conference-workshops-1.

The bombing of Iran, Lebanon and the ongoing destruction of Palestine is resulting in a massive loss of civilian lives, the killing of health workers, destruction of public infrastructure, environmental devastation, economic instability and the destruction of ancient cultural and religious structures including UNESCO World Heritage Sites. I strongly encourage a ceasefire and a resumption of negotiations. You cannot bomb yourself to a more secure world.

In this newsletter are articles, programs, sessions and announcements from the hard working colleagues on our committees and our members. Thank you for sharing this newsletter widely.

We hope to see you at CUGH2026 in April. When times are tough it is more important than ever for us to come together as a community and strengthen the partnerships that will lead to a healthier and more secure world for all.

Keith
