Help us help others
At BCC, patient support is a cornerstone of our mission and that includes understanding the evolving needs of our community. We’re looking for bladder cancer patients and/or caregivers to complete our Patient Insight Survey so that we can make sure we are supporting patients in the best way possible. Please take 5-10 minutes to complete our survey today.

Thank you for your time!
Message from BCC’s new chair
As a longstanding volunteer with BCC, I thought I was well versed in “all things BCC”. These past few months, learning the ropes as the incoming Chair, have proven me wrong – and in a very good way.
I’ve learned that BCC is a highly engaged and committed community that continues to exceed expectations. As we’ve seen through COVID, BCC was not only able to survive but thrive in the midst of uncertainty – supporting patients and families in new ways, deepening our resolve to respond to patients when they needed us most, and continuing to raise awareness, and funds to support our mission on all fronts.

As Chair, I feel privileged to work alongside amazing volunteers, staff and medical leaders who are equally devoted to our vision and mission. The future looks bright yet there is much more to do. Read more on our website here
Canadian Bladder Cancer Forum
We are pleased to announce the annual Canadian Bladder Cancer Forum, with our partner the Canadian Urological Association, on March 31 and April 1. This two-day virtual forum will include various members of BCC’s Medical Advisory and Research Boards and our new chair, Michele Zielinski, will make opening remarks.

A summary of the forum will be posted on our website in the coming months.
For more information on the forum, please email Nadia at nadia.pace@cua.org.
Plant a seed of hope this month
During the month of March, show your commitment to Bladder Cancer Canada by changing your one-time contribution to a monthly commitment. Your support will help us plant the seeds for future bladder cancer patients. These vital funds help raise awareness, grow our programs for patient support, and fund innovative research.

Throughout March, create a new monthly gift of $20 or more in support of Bladder Cancer Canada through the BCC website and CanadaHelps will make an extra, one-time donation of $20 to Bladder Cancer Canada. The new monthly gift must be made to BCC at least three times before June 2, 2022, to be eligible. For terms and conditions please click here
Our team continues to grow
We are thrilled to welcome Yann Vivette Tsobgni to the team at Bladder Cancer Canada as the Francophone Program Manager.

Having graduated with Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Psychology in June 2004, Yann is passionate about mental health and helping people. Currently a researcher and clinician, she is pursuing her doctoral dissertation in the area of mental health program development for minorities. This has strongly influenced her interest in the role at Bladder Cancer Canada.

Yann has worked and continues to work with diverse francophone communities in Canada. Her expertise covers the accessibility of French language support services.
Strongly engaged in promoting diversity and inclusion, she also has experience working in a number of linguistic and cultural contexts. Particularly, the Black and immigrant communities, as well as the anglophone and the dutch-speaking communities.

She speaks French, English, Yemba and also a bit of Dutch.

Following a 17-year career in the fields of cross-cultural psychology, social psychology and clinical psychology, she is also a psychology teacher, lecturer and author of two books on self-care.

Join us in welcoming Yann to the bladder cancer community!
