FROM OUR TEAM
Did you hear the buzz?!
What an incredible year it has been for Powered by Professionals! We could not have done it without your help.

PBP is thrilled to share our Spring 2019 accomplishments and future events coming this fall. Get ready, because it’s going to be a great season!
A NEW LOOK FOR PBP
This Spring, we took the time to think about what defines who we are.
With that thought in mind, we went through a rebranding process and created a new logo that represents our company mantra: Focused Fundraising & Engaging Events. At PBP we hone in on the relationships that will maximize ROI, activating those key volunteers and connectors to bring fundraising to a new level.

We are constantly pushing ourselves to be creative and ensure we are engaging event guests before, during and after a fundraising event. PBP utilizes every inch of space and every bit of time to provide guests with a mission-based, informative, and engaging experience.
EVENTS that made an
 IMPACT

In the first half of 2019, we had the opportunity to work with remarkable organizations including University of Maryland Alumni Association, Blue Engine, Connecticut Brain Tumor Alliance, Prevent Child Abuse New Jersey , and others listed below. With event management and fundraising partnership expertise, Powered by Professionals propelled our clients to new levels, engaged donors and volunteers, while cultivating them for future leadership positions!
R Baby Foundation & Michael's Mission:
2 Charities 1 Goal Benefit Concert
OVER $1.8 MILLION RAISED !
What an exciting way to kick off our Spring season! R Baby Foundation & Michael’s Mission teamed up for a benefit concert at Hammerstein Ballroom this April. PBP led the way with fundraising, logistics, talent recruitment, creative direction and execution. Over 1100 attendees danced the night away at the 80's themed concert to the beats of Rev Run from Run-DMC , DJ Mel DeBarge, Fractures and Jessie’s Girl. We all were inspired by the evening's honorees, TODAY Show News Anchor Craig Melvin and Jacksonville Jaguars Assistant Coach Mike Rutenberg . Guests snapped pics in front of the giant Lite-Brite, challenged each other to a 4-player Pac-Man game, and sipped Pop Rocks cocktails at the Rubik's Cube bar. Attendees savored treats from the 80's candy wall and enjoyed edible cookie shots served by our retro roller-skating waitress. The totally rad benefit raised $1.83 million dollars by our 112 corporate sponsors and costs were kept low due to our 31 in-kind partners !

Oligo Nation:
Spring Inspiration Event
4X LAST YEAR'S REVENUE!
PBP united with Oligo Nation for their Spring Inspiration event this past May, which benefited medical research for Oligodendroglioma brain cancer while celebrating doctors and leaders in the brain cancer research space, those battling brain cancer, and medical breakthroughs. The event, founded by Oligo survivor Jodi Kaye as a DIY fundraiser in 2018, raised $50,000 the first year. With guidance from PBP, the event was able to raise $200,000 . C elebrity guests Heather Thomson from the “Real Housewives of New York City,” served as Mistress of Ceremonies and Alasdair Nichol, of
“Antiques Roadshow,” as the Live Auctioneer. Oligo Nation was thrilled to honor individuals like John Boockvar, MD, with the Nobility in Science Award for advancing brain tumor research.
Sarcoma Foundation of America:
Stand Up to Sarcoma
$200,000 OVER GOAL!
PBP was proud to work with the Sarcoma Foundation of America (SFA) this May in honor of their 17th annual gala. The evening was an opportunity to honor and celebrate patients, survivors, and those who have dedicated their lives treating Sarcoma. SFA well surpassed their original goal of $550,000, hitting over $750,000 . At the gala, we listened to inspirational words from Sarcoma survivor Amira Yunis, this year’s Vision of Hope honoree and our Nobility in Science honoree Dr. Patrick Boland of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. 400 guests enjoyed the comic stylings of Mistress of Ceremonies Judy Gold and a performance from Evan Ruggiero and his band The S’Evan Legs. Ruggiero, a one-legged tap dancer and sarcoma survivor, has proved to the world that anything is possible! His performance on Ellen brought the crowd to their feet and he recently toured with his idol Jason Mraz, a SFA supporter.
