We joyfully announce that Fr. Gerald Goodrum has been appointed Pastor of Prince of Peace, effective July 1, 2019.
Fr. Gerald is from Texas and has been the Pastor of St. Juan Diego parish in Pasadena, TX, since 2013. He holds a Licentiate in Philosophy (Catholic University of America - Washington, DC) and a Doctorate in Sacred Theology (Pontifical Gregorian University – Rome). He is also an author, comedian, and a contemporary artist.
Please keep Fr. Gerald in your prayers as we prepare to give him a very warm welcome to Prince of Peace.

Dear People of Prince of Peace,
As Saint Paul wrote to the early Christian communities, I give thanks to God for all of you. These past 19 years have been a time of blessing for me. I am so thankful for the gift of this time with you. I am especially grateful to the wonderful priests, deacons, and the Senior Leadership Team who have challenged, supported, and helped me to grow as a disciple and a pastor.
And I am very grateful that God and our Cardinal have sent Father Gerald Goodrum to be your new pastor. I believe that Fr. Gerald’s depth of intelligence and understanding, his vision and his wonderful sense of humor will bring to Prince of Peace what you need most at this time in your journey. He will enable you to move even more emphatically from maintenance to mission.
May God who has begun the good work in us bring it to fulfillment.

It is with great joy we announce that Father Ryan Stawaisz has been appointed as a parochial vicar for Prince of Peace.
Fr. Ryan was ordained to the priesthood today, June 1, 2019. He moved to Tomball, TX, in 2004, and his home parish is St. Anne. He attended Texas A&M University to study engineering before entering the seminary for the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston.
Please keep Fr. Ryan in your prayers as we prepare to welcome him to Prince of Peace.

Our own Jose Alonso was ordained to the priesthood today, June 1, 2019!
He will celebrate a Mass of Thanksgiving in the Main Church on June 2 at 10:45 am, and again at 2:00 pm. All are invited to celebrate at Mass and join us afterward for a reception with refreshments in the Community Center.
Fr. Jose is assigned to St. Helen in Pasedena, TX. Please continue to keep him in your prayers as he begins his first year of priesthood.

Prince of Peace Pastoral Care is initiating a new ministry, Our Little Saints, offering assistance to families who have lost a child—either through miscarriage, stillbirth, or childhood death. We help families make burial arrangements for their child and acquire handcrafted burial boxes for miscarriages and small infants.
A "mini-retreat" with three speakers will be offered on June 9 to provide support to those in the grieving process. Please RSVP at
