We are delighted to unveil the launch of our new visual identity, the culmination of a year-long pro bono engagement with the renowned design firm Turner Duckworth. The new visual identity is bold, approachable, and a reflection of both our history and future.

We are excited to introduce our updated website, logo design, fonts, and other icons that represent an evolution of our previous look and pay homage to the logo and colors we’ve used for many years. The visual identity embraces a bold font and text layout approach influenced by classic posters and signs from movements for justice that have inspired our work.
Our new logo is a reflection of who we are and where we've been, ushering us into a new era while remaining true to our history. Like BroSis and the young people we serve, it is clear, confident and bold.
An expanded palette, better representing intersectional youth and inspired by the vibrancy of Harlem, to properly express an organization informed by its past, and energized by its future.
The themes - positivity, community, knowledge, and future - that inform all that we do, reimagined, and put to work throughout our visual identity - both within our logo and as stand-alone symbols to reinforce our story.

Our new t-shirts.
Coming soon: BroSis hats!
Turner Duckworth sought to "give a visual voice and tone to a brand that deserves a megaphone," and we think we've done just that. We are so grateful for the many hours that they donated to this project and for their brilliant design work.

MORE THAN LOGOS & COLORS

As we plan to move into our new home (stay tuned!), we are excited about how this will improve recognition and clarity throughout our communications, ensuring people see and understand our mission, and are moved to be a part of it. This new look is an integral part of this next chapter of our organization; as we hire new staff, move into our new headquarters, and further expand our impact and transformative work.

BroSis is thrilled to announce that we have promoted two of our dedicated staffers.

Abraham Velazquez Jr. began his journey with BroSis as a youth member before becoming a full-time staffer in 2018. Co-Founder of the hip hop, spoken word poetry and activist group The Peace Poets, Abe has performed and led community actions and resistance efforts all around the world. Abraham holds space for youth leaders to emerge as social justice change agents, activists, and community organizers by educating and guiding them to develop skills, identify problems within their community, and analyze solutions. We're thrilled to have Abe as our Liberation Program Coordinator.

Quanasa Wright joined BroSis as an intern as she pursued her Masters in Social Work from Columbia University. Quanasa then stepped into the role of College & Career Facilitator, working tirelessly and with great cheer to support our members throughout the entire college admissions process. She has nurtured so many youth members in identifying appropriate colleges, building robust applications, assessing financial packages, securing jobs and internships, and so much more. BroSis and our young people are so fortunate to have Quanasa - our new College Coordinator - in our corner.
