Mr. Scanu received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (cum laude) from the University of Florida and an MBA in Management from Bocconi University in Milan, Italy. Mr. Scanu was also a Visiting Scholar at Michigan State University under the prestigious H. Humphrey Fellowship with a focus on entrepreneurship, venture capital, and high-growth enterprises. Mr. Scanu is a certified coach from the University of Miami.

In 2009, Mr. Scanu founded Visa Business Plans. Since then, his company has written more than 6,000 customized and effective business plans used for raising capital and for immigration purposes. Drawing from his own experience as an immigrant and recipient of an O-1 visa in entrepreneurship and management of entrepreneurial ventures, Mr. Scanu has established himself as a successful consultant and business plan writer with international experience assisting clients across Asia, Europe, Africa, Latin America, and the United States.

The electricity was supplied to a transmission company (FPL) which did not renew its seven year purchase contract. The GE Turbines were removed and the plant purchased by DESOTO COUNTY PLANT LLC. There are no commercial activities currently at the site.

Plant has three mutually exclusive energy sources:
1. The onsite natural gas hook up flows at 50 pounds per second at base load. Power for three GE 60Hz Gas Turbines (The world’s most powerful). Gas preheating facility on site along with a 1.3 million gallon demineralized water storage tank.

2. 1.5 M Gallon Diesel Fuel Tank with Unloading Station.

3. Three phase electric power on site. Site adjacent to substation.

Plant contains:
Two 600 feet deep producing water wells. 11,562 Square Foot Office/Warehouse building.

Constance Jones is an award-winning, Emmy-nominated TV News Anchor & Reporter who recently joined the NBC6 South Florida family in January of 2021. 
 
 
Constance spent 9 years working at WPLG-TV/ABC in Miami as an anchor/reporter. She also worked at WLRN National Public Radio in South Florida. Most recently, she served as a news anchor at WAGA-TV/ FOX 5 Atlanta and ABC 8 Richmond. She also spent time anchoring and reporting at KETK-TV in Texas & KOCO-TV in Oklahoma. 

Outside of television, Constance worked alongside the Broward State Attorney as the Communications Director for the 17th Judicial Circuit of Florida.
 
Constance has been honored by the National Academy of Television Arts and Science, the Texas Associated Press, and the National Association of Black Journalists for Excellence in News Reporting. She was also featured as Miami's Top 40 under 40 Leaders of Tomorrow in Legacy Magazine.
 
She was born in Stuttgart, Germany. Her mother is German. She also spent time in Timisoara, Romania.
 
She is a proud member of the National Association of Black Journalists and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.

Nicolas Garcia-Brosa

Nicolas Garcia-Brosa began studying German in Kindergarten while he lived in North Carolina. After moving to Miami at a young age, he completed his German studies at Sunset Elementary, G.W. Carver Middle School, and is now graduating from the IB German Program at Coral Reef Senior High. In addition to graduating from the IB program, Nicolas passed the DSD II exam, which determines him to be proficient in the German language and giving him access to Universities in Germany. However, he will be attending Purdue University in the fall of 2021 to study IndustrialEngineering with hopes of a minor in International Business. This curiosity and interest in business is what brought him to intern at the GABC, with hopes to learn more about how the companies in the GABC operate and work.



Jannik Hercksen works in Data and Analytics at IPC, the Supply Chain company behind Subway Restaurants. Although born in Bremen, Jannik spent most of his childhood living abroad, spending time in Canada, Asia and Europe. After finishing his Economics degree at Northeastern University in Boston, he joined a small consultancy specialising in raw material procurement, which eventually led him to his current role here in Miami. 

In his spare time, Jannik enjoys riding his bike on Key Biscayne and down towards Homestead. He also enjoys watching Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on the weekends.

Carolina is our newest volunteer in the marketing department of the GABC. She is a Colombian who is finishing her master’s degree in International Marketing and Sales at Muenster University of Applied Sciences in Germany. There, she also completed a double bachelor’s degree in International Business Administration in cooperation with the University of La Sabana in Colombia.

Besides her native Spanish, she is also fluent in English and German and has basic knowledge in Portuguese.

Carolina’s experience includes e-commerce, branding, advertising and communication strategies, planning, and execution of marketing activities.

She is responsible, proactive, and a fast-leaner. In addition, she is aspiring to find a job here in Miami or a Traineeship after she completes her time at the GABC early next year.

I am Marie, a Media Manager, studied at SRH HdpK Berlin. Event Management and Social Media Marketing is so called my second home.
