The Faces of the South Okanagan

As part of our Chamber Community and Business Recovery initiatives we are launching a new series featuring local businesses, organizations and stories about the people and attractions that make up our South Okanagan region.

Our first story is featuring North Basin Brewing in Osoyoos!

“We’re a little different than other places in town ..... I think it’s just a fresh breath of air for Osoyoos, because we haven’t had craft beer for a long time." Wes Greve, Owner

Click here for full story and watch out on social media and our website for additional stories throughout our region. And if you haven't been to North Basin Brewing yet, be sure to find some time and check it out!

We are grateful for the financial support of ETSI-BC
and the Provincial Government which allows us to spearhead
projects and initiatives such as this one.
We are happy to share that we are bringing back our Friday Coffee Connections! A great opportunity to make a few new connections, hear from other businesses in the South Okanagan, as well as we will share Chamber updates and relevant news and events.

Friday, January 28 from 8:30 - 9:30 am
Please email Alicia at admin@sochamber.ca to get the Zoom Link.
Chamber Week is around the corner and that also means that it is Advocacy and Policy time for more than 120 Chambers and Boards of Trade across the province.

Every year, local chambers and boards of trade—develop policies that reflect the needs of B.C. businesses.

Through our grassroots policy process our membership endorses approximately 70 new policies every year at our BC Chamber Annual General Meeting. The breadth and diversity of our policies reflects our broad-based membership—in any given year we have policy recommendations for almost all B.C.’s provincial government ministries.

These recommendations serve as our road map—once approved our policies are ‘on the books’ for three years. They inform our pan-provincial advocacy efforts and the advocacy efforts of local chambers for regional-specific issues.  Visit the BC Chamber of Commerce website to learn more and see what Policies we are advocating for.

And please reach out to Denise at manager@sochamber.ca to bring forward any issues, challenges or policies that you would like to see addressed.
