The Child's Voice
Dear CASA Supporter

Your support has meant so much this year.

You’ve helped give CASA Lake County the freedom to focus on what matters most –providing a highly trained volunteer to advocate for child victims of abuse and neglect.

Thanks to friends like you, nearly 500 local children had a Court Appointed Special Advocate in 2017 – a caring adult volunteer to hold the child’s best interest above all else. Someone who can provide them with safety and a sense of hope during one of the most frightening times of their lives

We're reminded daily of the struggles facing the children served by our CASA volunteers. Every story reminds us of the importance of the work those volunteers are doing. We cherish these powerful stories of hope, kindness, and generosity that serve as inspiration to all of us. We hope that you'll enjoy looking back with us at a few of them.

Please help us serve every child in 2018 – because every child deserves the right to thrive in the safe embrace of a loving family.

Thank you for being a part of the CASA family. We wish you a happy and healthy New Year.

Set a goal to make a difference in a child's life

There is a child who needs you. Far too many children are waiting for an advocate — children who may be scared, confused, or hopeless.

If you can give 10-15 hours each month, you have the power to change the course of a child's future by being their advocate.

Resolve to be a Champion for Children in 2018

Help CASA Lake County focus on recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers by joining our monthly giving program, the Champions for Children.
For a suggested $20 per month, you can help abused and neglected children find a safe, permanent, and nurturing home.

Welcome to all of our 2017 training classes!

A Caring Community
In the November 2017 issue, Winnetka Living featured some of our fabulous Winnetka resident CASA volunteers.

We're so pleased that the magazine chose to recognize the terrific work of Elsa and Jean-Jacques De Jaegher, Suzanne Lavin, Jenny Herb, and Cecilia Milotti.
Celebrating Successes
It can never be overstated how important just one or two caring adults can be to a child who feels like they are facing the world alone.

Thanks to Andy and CASA volunteer Janice Greenawalt, Leyda's story changed forever. By offering Leyda stability, they provided a platform for her incredible spirit to shine.

That spirit was apparent to everyone in the room when Leyda shared her experiences at our 2017 Gala.
Incredible Generosity

Groups, businesses, and individuals from all over Lake County came together to help support our CASA kids during the holiday season with an awe-inspiring collection of donated clothes and toys! It made our Holiday Open House and incredible thing to see.
