Hello VSC,
We have some gratitude to share. This fall, lifestyle blogger Navixha Bagga organized hundreds of women to raise funds to help women in Montgomery County. "My Saree, My Story Walking Beyond Barriers" was a 5K walk featuring a saree Zumba, a raffle, and sponsored prizes. Congresswoman Madeleine Dean and 6ABC journalist Gina Gannon attended as guests.
"I am very passionate about women's welfare, health, and leadership and I wanted to help the local community," said Bagga, who learned about VSC's work for abuse survivors from a friend.
Community support helps us keep services free for survivors and loved ones. We are deeply thankful for Navixha's creativity and initiative.
The Saree Walk raised over $1,800 for VSC. The funds will be used to support our work for victims of crime and loved ones, including no-cost therapy, counseling, hospital accompaniments and more.
We invite you to support our campaign to make a difference in any way that works best for your giving choice. Your donation can be through an event that you dedicate to support VSC, a donation in memory of a loved one, a birthday gift, or a donation to celebrate a life well lived. If you are interested in organizing an event to support VSC, please contact Lynn Williams by calling 610-277-0932.
Thank you for being part of our community to support survivors.
