HOW TO ORDER A PACKAGE:


To pay with credit/debit card:

  1. Visit our online platform at foodsense.foodbankcny.org and select your participating pick-up site.
  2. Select the items you would like to purchase.
  3. Pay with credit or debit card!


To pay with cash/EBT:

  1. Call (800) 444-1562 or use our Food Finder tool at fbcny.org/findfood to find a Food $en$e site near you.
  2. Contact your local site coordinator and pay with cash or EBT payment.

NOVEMBER SPECIALS:

  • Whole Turkey, 14-16 lbs. (avg.) for $15.75: The whole turkey is pre-basted and has a pop-timer.
  • Breaded Shrimp, 3 lbs. for $13.00: The shrimp are butterflied, breaded, and 21-25 per pound.
  • American Cheese, 5 lbs. for $13.50: The sliced American cheese is not individually wrapped.
  • Produce Box, 18 lbs. (avg.) for $14.00: Includes onions (2 lbs.), apples (3 lbs.), carrots (2 lbs.), potatoes (5 lbs.), celery (1 each), sweet potatoes (3 lbs.), and winter squash (1 each).
  • Italian Meatballs, 5 lbs. for $13.00: The Italian meatballs are fully cooked and are in a five-pound bag.
  • Stuffed Shells, 3 lbs. for $7.50: The stuffed shells are frozen and have 18 shells per special.

FEATURED RECIPE:

Kielbasa & Pierogies Skillet with Sautéed Vegetables

Serves 4

Ingredients:

  • 1 package kielbasa sausage, sliced*
  • 13 oz. pierogies*
  • 12 oz. cheddar cheese, shredded*
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 zucchini, sliced
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Directions:

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sliced onion and bell pepper, sauté until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
  2. Add zucchini and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until tender.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the sliced kielbasa and cook until browned on both sides.
  5. In the same skillet, add the pierogies and cook according to package instructions, stirring occasionally until heated through and lightly golden.
  6. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top, cover, and let it melt for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve hot!
