Men are you still hungry? Are you still pursuing freedom from your sexual brokenness or has the desire dissipated? Women are you still longing for healing from the effects of your loved ones sexual sin, looking for answers, and looking for healing? Have you walked away from “the Table” or are you actively pursuing health, freedom, recovery and healing for yourself your spouse and your marriage? Recovery is a lifetime commitment, as it is with any addiction or compulsive behavior. It doesn’t stop. We must aggressively pursue it on a daily basis or we are susceptible to opening the door, even the slightest crack, for the devil to tighten his noose again.
The following is a clip form the final scene of the movie Courageous. God invites us as men to stand up and be courageous and fight the battle. He will not force us, we must take the initiative and be intentional every day of our life. Men, fathers, future fathers we cannot waste this opportunity. Wives, you too must pursue healing for you and your family. It is so instrumental in the process. It helps us be who we are, You are the heroes who walk beside us every day, even our darkest days when we don’t deserve it, but you are there fighting for your freedom, your marriage and your family!
I recently spent a weekend in Montana fishing with an amazing group of men.
Sixteen of us from all over the country and different walks of life got together in remote Fort Smith Montana for 5 days for the same purpose. We were all pursuing freedom, and courageous in our fight, shared our stories, our victories and our failures. It was AMAZING to see and be a part of this Pure Desire event. Men stepping up and accepting that invitation to the “Table”.
We all received the invitation. We are all seeds with a purpose! Will we pursue that invitation and continue down this road. God has a plan for all of us. There is no plan “B”. Be courageous and continue the journey you started. Continue your healing or if you haven’t started, start it today. Find a local group or an online group. Start a group, pursue it through your church. Ask to plant that seed so others can start their journey. It is a journey worth pursuing!
