Fellow Republicans,
We at the Republican Party of Los Angeles County wish our President and First Lady a speedy recovery from COVID-19. We pray that they — along with National Republican Chair Ronna McDaniel, US Senator Mike Lee (from Utah), and others who have the Coronavirus can quickly resume their work on behalf of all of us. Their contraction of this horrible illness shows that anyone — whether a high-ranking elected official or an everyday citizen — can catch this disease. Many of us may know someone either within our family, friend group, or neighborhood who have suffered from this disease or worse yet, have experienced a loss. This is not a partisan issue.
With possibly the most important election in our lifetime now less than 35 days away, we are in crunch time. Due to President Trump’s current inability to engage in in-person “retail” campaigning, we all need to do our best to help. There are a number of key battleground states including Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Nevada. Please contact Krista Pittman (KPittman@gop.com) to volunteer and make phone calls on behalf of the Trump-Pence ticket.
At the Southern CA level, we have a number of targeted races including those for the Honorable Congressman Mike Garcia’s re-election bid (CD 25), candidate Young Kim (CD 39), and in Orange County candidate Michelle Steele (CD 48), all of whom have been subjected to hostile, malicious, and categorically false political commercials. Additionally, there are a number of high-profile elections including that of Eric Early (running against Adam Schiff for CD 28) and Joe Collins (running against Maxine Waters CD 43). Finally, please check out our wonderful endorsed LAGOP endorsed candidates (at https://www.lagop.org/candidate-endorsement), all of whom are worthy of our support.
Again, as we work to help our candidates, please be careful if you are walking precincts—wear masks, engage in social distancing. We need you all healthy and well.
