Board Member Spotlight

SouthFair Welcomes its Newest Advisory Board Members

SouthFair is thrilled to have Calvin join SouthFair's advisory team. We have known him for years and know this is a great fit! Here is a little more about Calvin:


Calvin Golden is a seasoned franchise veteran with over 35 years' experience in the franchise industry. Calvin has a unique skill set and franchise prospective having been both franchisor and successful multiunit franchisee. He has represented national brands such as, Prudential Real Estate Affiliates, The Brice Group ( I Can't Believe It'sYogurt) and Glamor Shots.


Calvin joined the founder of Wingstop Restaurants Inc. and one other in 1997. Their mission was to make Wingstop a viable franchise concept.Calvin was instrumental in developing the franchise business model Calvin wasinstrumental in selling the first dozen (12) franchise locations for Wingstop.He also purchased Wingstop unit #5 for himself. This begin his franchisee/ owner operator journey in 1998.


Calvin currently serves on the board of Wingstop Charites. A native of Dallas. he has been married to Shelia for 30 years. They have 3 adult children and 11 grandchildren.




What a plus that we get to add Theresa to SouthFair's advisory board. Her years of lending experence is such a benefit, bringinh creative problem solving.


Theresa Lee is the Vice President and Manager of Community Lending with Pegasus Bank. She is developing new lines of business for Pegasus, a 17-year old community bank. Theresa utlizes her community development lender skills to bring affordable housing and small business lending opprotunities to various Dallas communities. Previoiusly, Theresa spent 10 years with Grow America (previously National Developemnt Council) focused on SBA loan production and portfolio quality, From 2004-2012 Theresa was the Chief Lending Officer and Vice President with Texas Mezzanine Bank. She oversaw loan production in business lending, construction, affordable housing and community facilities for this $17 million for-profit multi-bank.

SouthFair happily welcomes Tamara to the advisory board. Tamara comes with a wealth of accounting knowlege and nonprofit passion. Here is a little more about Tamara.


Tamara Terrell, an Arlington,Texas resident, has been a steadfast mentor for over a decade in accounting and finance, including financial literacy classes and credit management. Educationally, Tamara holds undergraduate business degrees in accounting, complemented by graduate degrees in accounting and strategic management. She is pursuing her doctorate in nonprofit leadership. Tamara is a finance leader in a Dallas church, utilizing her financial expertise for the greater good. As the founder of Paramount Global Ministries, she is a passionate minister and aspires to help provide leadership to non-profit organizations.

What are your hopes/desires for SouthFair and the South Dallas community? First, to gain some wonderful friendships here and then assist in helping SouthFair CDC be the best possible in the area of finance.
