Dear Friend,
Significant, positive things are happening connected to the collective timeout we are experiencing. I like to focus on the positive developments and encourage you to do the same.
One of my favorite aspects about what I now think of as a
Sacred Time Out
is that many are taking this opportunity to slow down and reassess what is truly important to them.Thank you for taking the time to read this newsletter. I hope you gain at least one fresh, new perspective that prompts you to contemplate more deeply and take even one positive new action for yourself or others - be that people, animals or both! We can all contribute to the solution rather than the problem. This is what becoming Empowered is really about, and
being empowered (authentic power, not ego driven power) feels good!
Positive news
: Emissions and pollution are decreasing as a result of people travelling less which is resulting in a huge decrease of our carbon footprint on the earth. We are allowing Mother earth a chance to catch her breath and heal. This is so important for all of us! The less healthy the earth becomes, the less healthy we all become. A few ways this shows up are symptoms like allergies, asthma, skin issues...

Expanding My Work - Divine Projects:
When I am not working with clients, I make myself available for special project undertakings involving animals and our environment that I do not get paid for (although there is a Go Fund Me button on my website if you would like to contribute). I call these my
Divine Projects.
My remote healing work in the world is expanding. In addition to helping my clients, I have been working with collective groups of animals who need direct healing or help in other ways. The last couple of years, these have included elephants in Africa as a collective group; whales in the Atlantic ocean as a collective group; many animals who were affected by the fires in Australia in recently; a whale whose infant daughter was seriously wounded off the coast of Georgia in February. Currently, I am working with the local turtles in MA, both remotely and in person.

CURRENT NEWS
: Last week, the local newspaper in my hometown printed an article about a project I took on to get local turtle crossing signs installed over a bridge spanning two towns. I discovered this bridge to be a turtle crossing on my way to the local YMCA one day. I noticed a tiny black native turtle doing her best to cross the road so she could find a spot to lay her eggs. (I was aware that spring is turtle egg laying season and was keeping a look out) I stopped the car and gently brought her over to the other side of the rd in the direction she was heading. Other drivers seemed supportive and waited patiently. A couple of weeks later, I noticed another turtle, this time, a red eared slider close to the same spot on the bridge. I was dismayed when I saw that this turtle was crushed trying to also get to the other side of the rd to lay her eggs. I consider life coming into physical form as well as leaving physical form (aka death) sacred.
I walked to a couple of houses nearby to speak with neighbors and no one was aware that this bridge was a turtle crossing. Even the local conservation group less than a 1/4 mile away did not realize it. I was wondering how I would be able to get 2 towns to go along with installing turtle crossing signs on this bridge in time for egg laying season this year.
This past April, it seemed clear to me it was no accident that my attention was called to discover this turtle crossing. I knew if I didn't take action to help the turtles, I would regret it. Corona virus was well under way, affecting communication, personnel being available with the hwy departments etc. however, trusting I would be led, I knew things would unfold in Divine Order. I contacted both conservation groups and highway departments for the towns of Hanover and Norwell. I ordered and turtle crossing signs (at my own expense) in order to not slow down the momentum of getting signs installed in time for egg laying season which starts in May and goes until July. Turtles have been inhabiting our earth for 200-300 million years, much longer than we have and they deserve to be protected and respected.
Approval was given by all the parties involved and
last week
,
I met my friend Melissa and a deputy from the hwy dept to place the signs in the best spots to let oncoming drivers know they were approaching a turtle crossing so they could slow down and keep a look out.
I am devoting this newsletter to my beloved turtle, who was one of my companions for
33 years.

The day the signs were installed, my friend Melissa helped me pick up garbage in the ravines on each side of the bridge going over the creek. We picked up garbage for close to 3 hours and filled two large contractor bags.
Turtles should not have to crawl over bottles, cans, bags and other garbage before they cross a bridge or road so they can lay their eggs. We can all make a difference by being responsible.
It always feels good to do good deeds and be a part of the solution.

Tribute to Ellie Jr., My Long Time Companion
|
|
This sentient being is one of the Loves of my life. After being with me for 33 years, she made the choice to live the rest of her life in a natural setting. Ellie Jr. was playing hide & seek in the woods behind our house in N.C. one day. Huge rains came and she slipped into a stream & was carried to a pond. She is now living the life of her dreams; eating minnows & fish eggs, swimming to her heart's content, getting natural sun, has turtle friends guiding her and a male turtle companion. I love you Ellie Jr & know I will see you again.
note: (Ellie Jr. was an unexpected gift from a pet store - I would never have acquired a turtle otherwise
and do
not
advocate kidnapping them from their natural homes)

And if you or someone you know has the Coronavirus, I have had recent success with that also.

“We will not go back to normal. Normal never was. Our Pre-Corona existence was not normal other than we normalized greed, inequity, exhaustion, depletion, extraction, disconnection, confusion, rage, hoarding, hate and lack. We should not long to return, my friends. We are being given the opportunity to stitch a new garment. One that fits all of humanity and nature.”
