Our September 2023 Newsletter
Work on our new red cedar roof nears completion.
Greetings from Conway!

Our August sale turned out as we had hoped. Nearly half of the pieces we marked down for the month were purchased, and many pieces from our current inventory found new homes as the flurry of sales generated visits to our website. Thanks to everyone.

In a few days we're off to England for a week of shopping, followed by holidays in Edinburgh and Florence. Look for pictures in our October and November newsletters. Once we're back we'll be preparing for two shows. We hope that you'll read about them below.

Time to pack our suitcases. We hope you enjoy this month's issue.
Upcoming events
The Fall Fox Valley show will be held online on the weekend of October 21 - 22. We'll be listing more than thirty pieces, and we hope you'll visit the show. Look for a link to it in October's newsletter.
Two weeks after Fox Valley, on November 4 and 5, we'll have our Fall opening, featuring more than 70 new listings drawn from this year's spring and fall buying trips. As usual, the show will be both online and live in our shop. Look for more information in October.
Pippin's Page
After giving us quite a scare, Pippin continues to act like his younger self. Although he receives his monthly shots with little notice, his reaction to the serum they deliver continues to be astonishingly positive. He is now able to jump from "Pippin's table" to the top of our 17th century court cupboard effortlessly for naps in this "happy place" within a few inches of the ceiling, Click his picture for a recent example.
The Back Page
It has become a Christmas Eve tradition to walk across the common to spend a couple of hours with our friends Linda and Bill, neighbors who live in an early house that seems much like our own. Recently, we've extended the Holiday tradition by introducing a summer gathering at our home, appropriately named "Christmas in July". Bill's knee surgery in July caused us to postpone this year's gathering until two weekends ago, when we shared a tapas-like meal. View our six-course dinner by clicking the Stilton-stuffed dates above.
Thanks for reading.
Our shop is open by chance or appointment. Just email or call.
Stay safe and well.
