"I am the resurrection and the life" - Jn 11:25

Our Shared Community
Dear Friends in Christ Our Hope,
When life gives you lemons, make lemonade - as the saying goes. We're going to try something a little different with our Facebook LIVE broadcast this weekend. With the Governor's Stay Home, Stay Safe mandate, our Bishops have decreed only the priest, pastoral leader (deacon) and one tech person be present at our Facebook LIVE broadcasts . Thankfully, we have a wizard producer in Christ Our Hope parishioner, Nick Marson, who is able to produce these using an innovative video production software. This means we will be doing one shared Christ Our Hope and St. Patrick Facebook LIVE Mass with pre-recorded readings and music each week.
We decided this broadcast could rotate over the next few weeks between Christ Our Hope and St. Patrick to give each community an appropriate spotlight. You will be able to watch this LIVE at 8:30 AM or later in the day on a posted link after the LIVE broadcast is completed. We will rebroadcast the 8:30 AM Mass at 7 PM on Facebook LIVE. I hope you will enjoy joining us for Mass the next few weeks for these creative opportunities to remain in spiritual communion with one another.
In addition, we will feature parishioners from both communities doing the readings. This weekend we have guest reflector Jan Thomas from the St. Patrick community. I would encourage you to join our community for this paired community broadcast and join us in prayer in the comments section on Facebook.
For our Spanish language community, we will continue to have a 5 PM La Misa en español on Facebook LIVE.

Join With Us Spiritually and Virtually
We are finding new and creative ways to connect with each other even while we remain physically apart.  These small groups are facilitated over Zoom and offer opportunities for us grow our Christian community together.  We hope that you will attend one or more of these groups! There are many to consider joining, including virtual coffee hour with Fr. Bryan and Dn. Dennis or bible study on the upcoming Mass readings.  All groups are facilitated for free over Zoom in your internet browser. You can reach the link for each group through our website  here . If you would like more information on any of our groups, please email  Deanna Tighe .  If you have questions about how to use Zoom you can view their official tutorials or contact  Pam Thompson
Temporary Closure at Christ Our Hope

The prayer space and Reconciliation at Christ Our Hope Catholic Church will be temporarily closed through April 6 according to Governor Inslee's Stay Home order. We invite you to continue to join us at live Mass online each Sunday at 8:30 AM, 5:00 PM (en español) and 7 PM. All are welcome to engage in many other opportunities to build and support our community in this difficult time. Thank you for your patience, consideration and prayers! If you are still looking for a prayer space, St. James Cathedral remains open every day between 8:00 AM and noon. To learn about opportunities for Reconciliation, please contact Sacred Heart.

Facebook Live

All are invited to join our parish community online for Facebook Live Masses this Sunday. Starting this week, we have the special opportunity to share Mass with our partner parish St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Mass will air live at 8:30 AM and again at 7:00 PM in English and at 5:00 PM en español.  We will switch between the Churches for Mass and will be supported by ministers from each parish. You can access a worship aid for Sunday here. If you do not have a Facebook account you can watch the Mass after it occurs on our website or YouTube channelWe look forward to being in communion with one another as the body of Christ spiritually this Sunday.
Our parishioners are responding to the call to be a beacon of hope to our vulnerable communities!

Join Our CareTeam

We are still looking for volunteers to serve on our CareTeam. Volunteers are reaching out to Christ Our Hope parishioners via phone to offer companionship, and see how people are doing. It is an opportunity to stay connected with our fellow parishioners, and offers a time to talk and pray together during this difficult time.  If you are able to spend a small amount time on the phone checking in on our fellow parishioners, by making this phone call of care and love, please reach out to Deanna Tighe.
Women's Wellness Center

The Women's Wellness Center has currently suspended operations. The staff for the WWC have been needed at other Bakhita Gardens and Noel House programs during this outbreak. Our community has already given the WWC the towels and soap we collected in advance of the closure. We will keep the community informed about the reopening of this important partner agency inside the Josephinum with us.

New Small Group: Encountering God

We have created a new virtual small group, Encountering God. This is a thirty minute women's reflection group led by Lisa Dennison and Deanna Tighe. Join us for a break in your day, reflecting on where you are finding God's life-giving love in your life today. The group will meet at 11 AM on Thursday's on Zoom. Email Deanna Tighe if you are interested in growing together with the women of Christ Our Hope and St. Patrick's!
Music Ministry at Christ Our Hope is in our prayers.
Choir of Hope and Carmelite Nuns

The Choir of Hope and their wonderful ministry is deeply missed at Christ Our Hope right now. We holding this ministry community in special prayer.
Did you know that the Carmelite nuns of the High Desert of Nevada continue to pray for all of us here at Christ Our Hope daily, but especially hold the Choir of Hope in prayer on Friday afternoons?
You can see a video produced by these Carmelite sisters praying together through song virtually as conducted by Dr. James Savage here.
Sanctuary in the City

Due to the prohibition of crowds gathering, the current Sanctuary in the City season has come to an end. We will not be hosting concerts in April or May. We are so grateful to all who joined us to support and enjoy the music concert series. Our partnership with Pacific MusicWorks brings great works of lesser-known and underrepresented composers to new audiences. Thank you for your support and we look forward to welcoming the new series of Sanctuary in the City in the Fall.
