Dear Friends,
We want to update you on an important matter affecting our community, which is starting to get a lot of attention on social media and in the news. The Drag Bingo event benefiting the Child Advocacy Center of Greater Rochester, originally scheduled for August 17, has been canceled. The Child Advocacy Center made the decision to cancel the event due to backlash from a small but vocal group in the community. We respect their decision.
Our official statement is:
We are saddened to announce that the Drag Bingo event benefiting the Child Advocacy Center has been canceled following backlash from a small but vocal group in the community. While we respect the organization’s decision, we stand firm in our belief that drag is not a crime and should never be a source of shame. We will continue to advocate for love, acceptance, and safe spaces for all.
While we strongly disagree with the Center’s decision to allow hate to win this time, we remain committed to supporting the children they serve. Because of this, we will be taking up a special tip collection at our next two shows, and we will donate 100% of the collection to the Child Advocacy Center. If you're looking for a way to help fight back, here's your chance.

Let’s show our community that love is stronger than hate. Instead of backing down in the face of this adversity, we have to stand up to it. Join us, bring your friends, help us raise funds for this important cause, and let's show those bullies they have no place here.
