T-shirts, danced in the foam, sang Karaoke, and colored our sidewalks.

This year, we've set a "community goal" of 75,000 books. Every book you read and log in Beanstack will help us reach that goal!

Winners will be announced on Friday, August 1 during our End of Summer Celebration.

Cottonwood Concert - Andy Offutt Irwin

Join us for a evening of songs and stories with fan-favorite storyteller Andy Offutt Irwin! Andy has previously performed at the Four Corners Storytelling Festival, and we're thrilled that Andy is making the trip all the way from Georgia to perform in during our 2025 Cottonwood Concert series.

Trivia Night: Pokémon

Get ready to test your Pokémon knowledge at the Farmington Public Library's Trivia Night! This event will focus entirely on the world of Pokémon covering movies, games, toys, etc.


Gather a group of friends or join a team and meet other fellow trainers. Expect some lighthearted competition with prizes for the top team.

Summer Solstice Celebration

Join us as we celebrate the longest day of the year with the musical performance of alternative singer/songwriter, guitarist Daniel Cravens.


During the performance, watch as the sun moves across our rotunda and frames our summer solstice marker.

Read and Roar Car Show

The Farmington Evening Lions Club and the Farmington Public Library Foundation are pleased to present the Second Annual Read and Roar Car Show!


While it's free to attend the event, this is a fundraiser for the Lions Club and the Farmington Public Library Foundation, so we're asking for a $1 donation per vote. All proceeds from this event will go to the charities supported by the Famrington Evening Lions Club, including Beds4Kidz, and the Farmington Public Library Foundation. Food vendors will also be on site during car show.

Show - 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Voting - 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Pokémon GO Trainer Walkathon

We all know that the library is the best place to "catch 'em all" so join us for our 2025 Trainer Walkathon to boost your collection, and meet other trainers.


Walking the Pokémon GO Route around the library to earn your chance to win fabulous prizes.


If the weather—or the battles—get too intense, come inside to cool off with drinks and snacks! Meet fellow local trainers and exchange friend codes in a fun, relaxed setting.


Pro Tip: Watch for lures around the library this summer You never know what rare Pokémon might show up!

  • June 16: Enjoy a laugh-out-loud canine caper with Denise Gard and her talented border collies in Art Theft: A Dog Comedy Story.


  • June 23: Feel the rhythm with Kevin Kinane's Drums Around the World, an interactive, hands-on percussion experience.

  • Teen Takeover: TechArt Edition (Ages 13 - 18): Unleash your creativity and make professional-quality projects—no experience needed!

We're going "shushless" on Friday afternoons!


During our Family Games and Goodies program, noise levels may be louder than usual. While the provided games are intended for younger children and their parents, you are welcome to bring your gaming group and your favorite game to the library to play on Friday afternoons. (Just remember, there will be lots of families in the library, so games like "Cards Against Humanity" is not the best choice.)


Join us for "shush-free" fun every Friday afternoon starting at 2:00 PM!
