,

We had a taster this Easter weekend of the weather that should be coming our way very soon. Bring it on we say, we are ready and waiting. We have so much in the pipelines for May, June and beyond. Some of our new events are already sold out so please check out our plans if you are keen to join us.

Even if you are not a runner I would encourage you to watch some of the London Marathon coverage on BBC this Sunday morning. It is one of the most inspiring things you can do. It certainly is the run that changed my life. From the front runners to the charity runners there is a wonderful atmosphere and you will have a tear in your eye at some point hearing the stories behind the race numbers.

And maybe, just maybe, you might be inspired to go for a run yourself!

Lapsed Runners

You have one last chance this spring to slot in to our beginners classes as they move towards double figures in their running minutes. If it has been a while since you have put your shoes on, and you need a little help in the right direction, come join the next 4 weeks of our beginners classes and build back up gradually to 5k. Cost €50.

The new term of summer classes wont have any beginners programmes and booking for summer will be open from mid May.

Long Distance Dreams

If you are looking to move beyond 10k this year, my ONLY first time half marathon workshop takes place on Wednesday evening 8th May. If you fancy running twice that distance, our popular Dublin Marathon Coaching programmes are also all open for booking and kick off in June.

A Huge Thank You

I have been overwhelmed by the feedback on my new book Get Running. Thank you so much to everyone who has bought it or spread the word to other runners.

My favourite comment must indeed go to the Irish Examiner....

"The Verdict - The best running book ever.
Comprehensive, inspiring and beautifully produced."

I'm not sure I'm going to beat that one!

Since our Last Newsletter

Since we last spoke, we have been spending our school nights at running classes along the Dublin coastline and we are still getting used to these new bright evenings! What a wonderful place we live.

At the weekends we have had many adventures at parkruns, races and a few Chi Running workshops too. Aoife has kept the fun spirit alive chasing fun runners around an indoor track as part of our spring pop-up series of events.

I have kept up my writing with fortnightly pieces in The Irish Times and in the past few months have been on the TV and Radio spreading the word about my new book. I also had a great weekend at Thrive Festival at the Convention Centre talking about all things running on stage.

We have been so excited to hear the stories and race reports from so many of our runners as their spring training as paid off on race days at home and abroad - both long distance and short. We are hugely proud of everyone who has trained through the winter months. You all deserve the glory now for sure!
Writing about Running

In The Irish Times I have written about the following over the last few weeks

And of course, if you prefer to read in a book format than a newspaper, my new book Get Running is available online and in bookshops. Get Running gives you tips, advice and motivation on how to get running, keep running and most importantly enjoy running long into the future. Packed with pictures and quotes from some of our running students, you are sure to recognise a few faces inside.
