Parenting In a Pandemic with less Pandemonium -
Tuesday May 5th at 5:00 pm
We aren’t all first responders but as parents we are all front line workers of a sort. Our
worlds have collided and parked right in our homes. We are working remotely, running households as safely as we can, and managing our finances in an economic crises. We are searching for answers to questions about how to do all this in the best way possible.
How will this affect my child in the long run
How do I ensure they are working and not gaming while on their screens
How do I respond to the meltdowns?
The most poignant of these questions is
Am I doing this right?
We are doing a question and answer session with parents of Upper school students on Tuesday May 5th at 5:00 pm, using Zoom. While Dr. Glader will be on hand to help with the questions, this is also a forum to exchange ideas and proved support to each other within the amazing community that we have here at Roycemore. If you have a minute and would like to send questions beforehand, address them to Dr Glader at

Weekly Upper School Lunch - Every Thursday at 12:30pm
Upper School students-this is a chance for you to simply socialize and enjoy some time together. The link has been shared with all of you. Come and join the fun!
This Friday marks the end of the 4th midquarter. Next weekend, teachers are compiling grades, and early the following week, you may be receiving midquarter reports. These reports are sent to any student receiving a C- or lower in any class, or to any student where the teacher feels a report is warranted. An important reminder - these are simply check-ins at the middle of the quarter, they are not official grades. The goal of midquarters is to help students who are struggling. We encourage parents to help your student use the teacher comments to formulate a plan for success in the coming weeks.
Sports and Activities Awards
Continuing this Thursday, Upper School students who have participated in sports and activities this year will be honored by the coaches and sponsors . These honors will be awarded during Upper School homeroom on Thursdays at 11am for the next three weeks. A video will be available to be shared.
AP Tests - Updates
This year's at-home AP® Exams begin on Monday, May 11.
Students can take their AP Exams online on any device they have access to—computer, tablet, or smartphone. They'll also have the option to write their responses by hand and submit a photo.
Over the coming weeks, email will continue to be the primary way The College Board will reach out to students. Students, please mark
as part of your approved sender lists and update your cell phone numbers in your College Board accounts.
