We are pleased to announce that our incredibly effective and dedicated team is growing to meet the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead in California higher education.

The Campaign for College Opportunity team continues to lead the way on many big wins for students and the state in 2022, including:

  • Adopting the Cal Grant Equity Framework in the 2022-23 final state budget agreement and setting the foundation for expanding Cal Grant awards to over 150,000 additional students.
  • Investing $64 million to implement equitable course placement and assessment policy under AB 705, $65 million to implement transfer reform (AB 928), and $105 million to implement common course numbering at community colleges (AB 1111).
  • Releasing our report on The State of Higher Education for Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Californians. This important report disaggregates data for more than 30 Asian ethnic groups to ensure a fuller picture of the success and challenges facing Asian American and NHPI Californians.
  • Hosting our inaugural Excellence in Placement awards, recognizing the efforts of California Community Colleges that are trailblazing leaders in ensuring students are placed in transfer-level courses.

If you are an unapologetic racial justice advocate that has a passion for California higher education and want to join a dream team that works tirelessly to make a difference for students every day, we encourage you to apply.
