Unley Toy Library is opening!

The Unley Toy Library will be opening again from Tuesday 23rd June at 10.30am for our normal opening hours.

Tuesday 10.30am - 12.30pm and 2 - 5pm
Wednesday 2 - 5pm
Thursday 2 - 5pm
Friday 10.30am - 12.30pm
Saturday 10.30am -3pm

We are looking forward to welcoming you back and we’re sure you are ready to return those toys you have kindly been keeping safe for us, and to borrow some new ones.

There are some requirements the library must adhere to ensure a safe space for everyone.

Please:
  • Have your Toy Library Card ready to show staff when you enter the library
  • Sanitise your hands on entering the library at the stations provided
  • Help us manage the number of people in the Toy Library at one time, so that there’s enough room for everyone. There may be a short wait before you can enter.
  • Keep 1.5 metres distance from others.
  • Observe the markers on the floor to guide you.
  • Help us get the toys ready for the next borrower by giving them a good clean and checking pieces before you return them. Some special tips on cleaning our toys can be found here: https://www.toylibraries.org.au/cleaning-toys

We know there are many of you who are ready to swap toys for something new and exciting, so for your first visit we’d love you to Grab and Go, making it short as possible. This will mean as many families as possible can visit while these limits are in place.

To ensure you get the most value out of your membership, we have extended the end date for the period we were closed. If you’re unsure about your end date, please chat with staff.

We’ve been missing all of you, and are excited to see you soon.

This week
Hi everyone,

It has been another very busy week in the Libraries! We have been filming lots of children's programs, entering loads of new books on the system and assisting plenty of customers with their computing needs.

Restrictions have relaxed a little further and we can now welcome up to 75 people in our library at one time. We are thrilled. For now, we are still collecting details for contact tracing but we look forward to having you back in our space.

We have lots of great online programming coming up, including some workshops with KESAB and Scoffed. For the Lego enthusiasts, we have a small update about our competitions below.

Our refresh of the non-fiction area is now complete, with all the books back on the shelves. We think it looks great!
Whew! It's been a whirlwind. And we are excited to come back next week and do it all again. Have a great weekend everyone.
