Cheers to the 8th grade class for showing good sportsmanship and great school spirit at The Pumpkin Bowl this afternoon. Thanks to all who gathered along the sidelines and joined in this fun, memorable school event.
Dear St. Rose School Families,
Role models are those whom we hold in high regard. The Saints, whose lives are wonderful examples of service and love of God, are exceptional role models. Sister Thaddeus' 7th grade Religion class did a remarkable job researching and presenting the lives of their chosen Saints this week -- if you see them around school ask them to share the lessons they have learned.
St. Rose School is like a second home to those who walk our halls every day. It does my heart good to see the students helping each other with various activities and I am especially pleased at the warm welcome that is given to visitors and new families. You are often the first face and voice of our school.
The first week of November is "Discover Catholic Schools in New England." We will be starting our Playdates at the Preschool (the first Monday of each month) on November 4th; that afternoon we will also invite the community in to the main school to "discover" what we are all about. In addition, on Wednesday November 6th we will have a Middle School Information session for current and prospective parents. Please spread the good news about St. Rose School and invite your friends, neighbors and family to visit during Discover Week or any time. Tours can be arranged through Mrs. Coppola, email@example.com.
The leaves are falling, the temperatures are dipping and before we know it Winter will be here. As you sift through your closets for winter wear, please give thought to those who are out in the cold. Starting Monday, the school will be collecting new and gently used coats, in all sizes, for the Knights of Columbus Coat Drive. There will be boxes in each classroom for the collection which will last 2 weeks. As an incentive, the Knights are offering a pizza party to the class that collects the most coats. Thank you for your generosity.
It is always a joy to see so many family members at Friday mass. Next Friday, October 25th, Grade 6 will be readers, gift bearers, and altar servers at Mass. Grade 4 will lead us in song. We hope you can join us.
Please remember that school pictures are being taken on Monday, October 21st. Students should wear their dress uniforms.
Enjoy the beautiful Fall weekend.

Trunk or Treat is finally upon us and we need your help! Please look for the sign up genius and donate twenty-thirty minutes of your time. Many hands make light work and we want to keep our goblins and gremlins safe and happy all evening. Thanks in advance for your help!
Please see the attached flyer and register by October 22nd if you plan to join us. For families who haven't joined us before, here are a few things to know:
We also really need someone's help serving food at Bingo. Many people from the community attend this event each month and they come hungry - which is a good thing - we love to sell them food! Can you please help us out once a month? One or two extra adults would be fantastic! If you think you can lend a hand, please let us know at email@example.com.
We appreciate your involvement and hope you and your family have a wonderful weekend.
