HFM Maritime Marathon

Did you know that the Maritime Marathon is a race in which all proceeds benefit a local non-profit? To date they have raised and donated over $160,000 to local charities, including Hope House. Their goal, like ours, is to make an impact in the Manitowoc community. They pride themselves on being "more than just the miles”.

Our director, Abby Abbet and volunteers managed a water station at the HFM Maritime Marathon on Sunday, June 11th with our partnership. Learn more about this awesome annual event.

Paper Towel Alert :)

We are almost out of paper towel. Keeping a house clean with 20+ people can be challenging. If you are able to make a donation of paper towel, we'd greatly appreciate it!

Thank you to the Hopeful Hearts Club for working with the local STEM group for preparing and donating educational STEM projects for our children. Due to our families' busy schedules, we have the kits delivered so the kids can work on them on their own time.

Thank you for your donation & supporting our families!

Cover Sneak Peek!

The Spring edition of our printed newsletter will be arriving in your mailbox soon. We have many photos of our Game Night, updates on housing challenges for our guests, our Home With Hope after care program, the Hopeful Hearts Club update and much more. We produce two printed newsletters each year.

How You Can Help

There are many ways you can serve our community and support our mission. We work directly with people going through difficulties that are associated with homelessness. Because of our faithful volunteers, we are able to provide shelter, support, food and resources to help them achieve sustainable independence.

We would love to have you bring your talents and passion to Hope House through volunteering. We have nightly 5-8pm shifts, 3 hour shifts during the daytime weekends from 8-11am, 11am-2pm, and 2-5pm; and also special projects as needed. We will find out what works best for you!

Our volunteer training is available online and will share our policies and procedures, along with more information about our residents and homelessness.

Our donors make it possible for us to continue our mission of helping families and individuals experiencing homelessness achieve sustainable independence. The success stories of our guests would not be possible without community support.

In Their Words

“While being at Hope House, I was faced with many challenges. Throughout my stay here, the staff always had my family’s best interests in mind. They pushed for me to meet my goals. The love and support they have given will stay with me and my kids forever.”

Home With Hope

Our aftercare program, Home With Hope, provides ongoing case management for those families who want to continue working with us to help maintain their housing stability. When our guests find housing and move from Hope House, they often do not have items to help furnish the place to make it a home. Home With Hope also provides household items, cleaning products, kitchenware, rugs, shower curtains, garbage cans and more from our stock of donations. We also provide donations of beds, furniture and other household items to help them in their new home.
