Change A Child's Story

Advocacy in Action

CASA Katelyn recognized that a sound machine and humidifier could help improve the child she serves’ sleep and overall comfort.

CASA Christina identified the need for a Chromebook to support the child’s academic progress and provide access to tutoring resources, helping set them up for success.

It's the little things that can make a big difference! CASA volunteers look beyond the immediate needs to identify ways to help each child feel supported, thrive, and reach their full potential.

CASA in the community in October

Friday, October 30, we got to go to Little Explorers Discovery Center to give out candy/toys for the youngest children while the older children were on a field trip.

We welcomed Madeleine Cook as our newest Volunteer Supervisor on Monday, September 28.

MISSION STATEMENT

It is the mission of Capital City CASA to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children and youth in the 19th Judicial Circuit of Missouri, based on the belief that all children are entitled to a safe and permanent home. The mission will be accomplished through screened, trained, and qualified community court appointed volunteers.

VISION STATEMENT

The Capital City CASA Program envisions that all Cole County children have safe, permanent homes free of abuse and neglect. To achieve that vision, Capital City CASA Program will work to ensure that the CASA program is sustained by highly trained CASA volunteers.

VALUE STATEMENT

To provide a consistent experience in a safe environment for children, family members and advocates, providing hope while collaborating with our partners and the broader community.
