THE MORE YOU KNOW

Closed-Toe Shoes

Both for comfort and safety we ask that all campers wear closed-toe shoes. Sneakers are the most popular footwear, but Keens or other closed-toe sandals are acceptable.

Campers with a swim period or Extended Day with Swim Lesson do not need to bring water shoes to camp. Campers change close to the pool area and go immediately into the pool.

Dance Battles and Sports campers may have different or additional footwear requirements.

HEALTH SPOTLIGHT

Summer Colds & Flus

Campers with a fever of 100.0 degrees or higher, or symptoms of being ill such as, but not limited to, cough, sore throat, nausea, dizziness, aches, or chills, must stay home.

Camp candid

Campers who exhibit a fever or signs of illness while at camp and as a result, either go home early or stay home entirely, may not attend camp the next day.

Campers may only return to camp after they have been fever-free for at least 24 hours without the aid of acetaminophen (Tylenol) or ibuprofen (Advil or Motrin) and/or have completed any required quarantine period.

Transitions

Transitions can be hard for some of our junior campers. To prepare for camp, we recommend having conversations with your child about camp as their first day approaches. Discussing details such as what their camp day will look like, what group they are in, and what time they will be picked up can help a camper be more comfortable on their first day. Another great way to get them ready is to pack their backpack together so they know exactly what they have with them each day!

"When we pulled up for drop-off, I felt like we were at Disneyland. Everyone was happy, dancing, and inviting. I drove away smiling."
