Dear Friend of The Children's Hunger Project,
The secret to a happy life, it’s been said, is a heart full of love and gratitude. As Thanksgiving nears, my heart is brimming with love and appreciation for every single life-changing day at The Children’s Hunger Project. I am truly moved by the outpouring of support we have experienced.
One of the best parts of my job - this mission that encompasses our communities - is being surrounded by so many caring people - our volunteers, local businesses and congregations, civic groups, youth supporters, donors, our team of board members and staff, and Brevard County leaders.
Since the beginning, our organization has always been guided by angels. “We see a hungry child. We buy food. We feed the child.” This has been our guiding principle from the start. YOU are the angels helping, every time you volunteer, donate, and share our story with others.
Last year on our 10th Anniversary, our county commissioners proclaimed December 10th of every year in Brevard as The Children’s Hunger Project Day, signifying their support for our steady and ever-growing achievement of helping feed hungry children locally.
We are so very thankful to the Nelson family and Cocoa/Coastal Hyundai for providing us a roof over our heads for nearly 6 years…but the time has come for us to have a forever home. We are excited as we look to the future at a new location, and building on the growth that puts smiles on the faces of many local children, which is made possible by you. As we approach the close of the year, we appreciate the opportunity to continue serving Brevard’s children. You are helping them thrive, in turn helping our future citizens - an investment in our county’s future.
We thank you again for your support and for being part of The Children’s Hunger Project team of angels.
Happy Thanksgiving!
