Meeting the Needs of Our Neighbors in Need

when Working at the Pantry!

A few Updates

Please be aware that all refrigerated sweets, as well as deli meats, yogurts, salads, i.e. everything in the refrigerator (with the exception of eggs and cheese), are donated items that are near or past their expiration dates. Please make sure that all of these items are given out at each opening. This means that the refrigerated items usually reserved for miscellaneous visits will be added to pantry boxes at the beginning of the month  Anything left over will most likely have to be tossed.

Also, all bread and sweets on the shelf to the left of the door need to be given out at each opening. Many times, the bakery items have mold if carried over to the next opening.

For Miscellaneous visits, always give out the refrigerated meats first, before pulling canned tuna or chicken.

A few other reminders -

There should be fresh potatoes already packed in each box. Please check to make sure and be careful not to add more.

Most importantly, check each box before leaving.

  - Make sure there is no frozen meat left in them.

  - Place all bread back in the freezer.

  - Any fresh produce that has been packed needs to be taken out of the bag to prevent sweating and put back in the refrigerator.

It seems that our numbers served just continue to grow and we are getting busier and busier. Thank you all for rising to the occasion and doing what you do to make sure the Pantry runs smoothly.

ABOUT US

Welcome to Clarksville Baptist Church, where we are committed to "Loving God, Loving Others, and Seeking the Kingdom." We were organized in 1818 in a log cabin. In 1832 the congregation acquired the present site of the church and erected its first structure. Clarksville Baptist was one of the founding members of the Concord Baptist Association in 1833 and was also a founding church of the Baptist General Association of Virginia. Our education building was completed in 1954 and the current sanctuary was dedicated in 1965. Our Pastor has been leading our congregation for over 15 years and our Minister of Student Ministries has been here 8 years.

With the goal of providing neighbors with the food and resources needed to thrive, this annual campaign has generated more than $206 million and helped secure 2 billion meals for Feeding America member food banks like Feed More since its inception in 2014.

The campaign will run in stores and online from March 1-March 31, with three easy ways for Walmart customers and Sam’s Club members to participate:
