We had such a fun time celebrating with everyone this summer who stopped by on August 1 for the shop's 10th Anniversary!

We are so thankful to have had the privilege of serving our community for a decade of art classes and events, custom tattoos, and beautiful piercings! Thank you to all our amazing clients and students we love you all!

Our piercer Aziza is winning our shop award for most 5 star reviews this quarter! Kids, teens, and adults all love her gentle care and passion for details. She and shop manager Mega also do tooth gems!

Tricia is super proud to have finished her first full leg sleeve! It is on long time client and friend Tori and took about 55 hours! Here they are showing it off at the Fredericksburg Tattoo Expo! Thank you Tori for the trust and freedom creating this beautiful Art Nouveau decorative mashup!

We're so excited to share that tattooist Sabrina won the 3rd place trophy in the Large Color Category at the Fredericksburg Tattoo Expo! Big thanks to one of our favorite clients Erin who gets to sport this award winning piece in her amazing collection from all of us at Figure 8!

Tattoo Team Updates: Books Open!

We now have the dream team working full time, each of us with our own signature style and goals. We'd love to work with you to bring your tattoo conceptions to reality. All four of our books are currently OPEN, simply email the shop (figure8ink@gmail.com) and we'll guide you through our booking/consultation process. Check out each of our portfolios on our website or app, or on each of our instagram accounts (linked in shop instagram @figure8inkstudios). We're always open to your ideas, or check out the link under our picture for tons of open designs from each of our artists.

Shop hourly is $150-200 depending on the parameters of the project. Shop minimum is $85

Art Club Hang - Still Life Sunday 10/12 @5pm

This is the first of a series of adult mixed media hang sessions; it will be an opportunity to learn from each other and form community. Sabrina will provide guidance and tips about classical still life techniques. All materials and refreshments included. $25

Tim Burton Kid’s Portrait Workshop with Joey 10/19 @ 9:30am

Kids will be creating a self portrait step by step while gathering inspo from clips of Burton’s best kid friendly films. Snack provided. $25

Fantasy Landscape Workshop 11/23 @ 11:30am

Join owner/art teacher Tricia for a two hour step by step multi media artwork featuring a castle! Acrylic ink, ballpoint, hot press watercolor paper, and oil paint will be used-all provided! $40

Potential Glass Fusion 4 Session Workshop

Wed. 10/22 10/29 11/5 11/12 5-8pm

We have an amazing local artist Myra who would like to teach a glass fusion workshop. Fusion involves students cutting and arranging glass and Myra firing the layers in between classes. We can’t run this unless we get enough people to be able to order the supplies, so please email figure8ink@gmail.com subject matter GLASS to show your serious interest.

All materials (basic glass) and tools included. $275? Why

Art Student Feature: Trevor

Look how awesome Trevor's work in progress oil pastel on Kraft paper is looking! Instructor Frankie's classes have been working on a variety of projects including pastels, faceted fruit drawings, linocut, and relief sculpture. There's always room in each lesson for each student's individual interests and goals!
