Just found out that the latest episode of Trumpet Dynamics is the most popular one so far with 392 downloads and counting.

If you haven't checked it out yet, listen to it here. It has already sparked a lot of healthy discussion about the value of a music education and what people are really looking for when they hire trumpet players.

But there are a lot of other great episodes that you may have missed.

  • Howie Shear. Among the extensive list of artists he has worked with are: The Chuck Mangione Orchestra, Tony Bennett, George Benson, Mel Torme, Reno Jones, The Temptations, and The Spinners. He was the musical arranger and lead trumpet player on the Joan Rivers Late Night Show.
  • Tony Plog. Tony Plog is a trumpeter turned composer. Among his most popular pieces are Scherzo for trumpet and piano, as well as Three Miniatures for tuba and piano.
  • Alex Freund. Alex is a trumpeter in the M5 Mexican Brass and has performed as a soloist in Mexico, Korea, Italy, Germany and France. Alex lives in San Miguel de Allende, is currently trumpet professor at the Conservatorio de las Rosas in Morelia, and teaches Meditation of the ancient Ishaya Tradition.

We encourage you to leave comments and ask questions.
