Happy October from the OAC!
For the month of October, we have the spotlight on our Main Frame program! We recently produced a new video featuring the Main Frame that can be found on our website. It tells the stories of graduates and how the program changed them. Watch it below!
Volunteers Needed!
We are in need of more volunteers to provide lunches for our Main Frame students. You can make a homecooked meal, pick something up at a restaurant, or even donate money for us to order lunch. It's an easy but needed way to give back! Interested? Email Ahren at [email protected].
Welcome our new development team!
Susannah Darrow Consulting is now leading the way for OAC development and fundraising! They are eager to support the OAC's mission and welcome the opportunity to discuss partnerships and funding opportunities. Welcome!
Guest Story

This week, one of our staff was working with a guest who needed his ID. He was from out of state and had been living in California and North Carolina. All of his identifying documents were lost in Hurricane Katrina and he had not yet been able to get them replaced. His mother was sick, so he moved to care for her. "If you had told me last year that I would be in this spot now, I wouldn't have believed you," he said. He was living in a shelter and trying to find employment. Our staff was able to start the process of getting his birth certificate which will allow him to get his ID, moving him one more step toward employment and housing.
What We're Reading

Our board chair, Jeff, recently published a book! We're so excited for him and loving getting to absorb his work. The 5-Day Turnaround is full of wisdom on leadership, growth, and time management. You can get your own copy on Amazon!
When you give back to the OAC, your donation can do so many things. In the Main Frame Job Readiness Program, your gift can provide MARTA assistance, a uniform for a new job, or even housing for a graduate. Give back today!
