Co-op opens free Wi-Fi hot spots for public
One of the immediate impacts of the COVID-19 crisis was that the digital divide in our community grew even wider. Internet access to learning opportunities, telehealth information, and unemployment benefits became more limited for many among us. In response, Roanoke Electric has announced the opening of several free Wi-Fi hot spots throughout its service territory. Where, you ask? Check this out.

COVID-19: How to save on home's energy costs  
As stay at home orders remain in effect, your home's energy use may go up, along with your monthly electric bills. There are, however, some simple things you can do to help reverse that trend, like changing how you do your laundry. Read more

Roanoke Electric will adjust its Time-of-Day rate schedule tomorrow, April 16. For member-owners who have already signed up for this program, this means modifying your energy consumption patterns. If you have not yet signed up for this program, you are missing out on an easy way to save on your monthly electric bills. Read more
