Dear friends,

Our planning for spring and summer programs includes thinking about how best to protect our participants and staff as the coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to be a large focus for the greater community and world. We'd like to provide an update on our operations and plans, as we move forward.

Our staff recently held an inspiring metaphysical meeting to address the sense of fear and concern reported in the news around health issues and specifically this claim. Foremost, we know the real solution lies in our prayerful perspective. Mary Baker Eddy has made several statements on the harmony of being in her writings, including this one from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures

The evidence of the physical senses often reverses the real Science of being, and so creates a reign of discord, - assigning seeming power to sin, sickness, and death; but the great facts of Life, rightly understood, defeat this triad of errors, contradict their false witnesses, and reveal the kingdom of heaven, - the actual reign of harmony on earth. (SH 122:1-7)

In addition, we are taking appropriate steps based on recommended practices to anticipate the needs of our programs:
  • Good hand-washing; sanitizing cabins and community spaces thoroughly, twice as often as previously; ensuring a high level of overall cleanliness; reducing exposure by minimizing personal contact and increasing social distance between people.
  • Closely monitoring updates and alerts from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Colorado health entities, and the U.S. State Department travel advisories; following necessary recommendations; acting on new information as it becomes available.
  • Working individually with participants and families to address and allay concerns.
We are carefully assessing each upcoming event. Should any of them be postponed due to new information, we will be back in touch and work with our constituents to minimize inconvenience.

We invite you to join our staff and board of trustees in praying for worldwide healing. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns: auinfo@adventureunlimited.org for A/U Ranches programs and dbinfo@discoverybound.org for DiscoveryBound programs.

Sincerely,

Gina Lindquist-Bailey
