a UWGUC Update
We are happy to provide you with an update on our work to help those in need during the pandemic.

As we continue to partner with Amazon Logistics in providing food to our nonprofit partners, faith-based organizations, and local municipalities,  we are happy to report that Amazon Logistics has committed to weekly food donations to Union County and have provided shelf safe food, fresh produce, and more. Since the beginning of our partnership six weeks ago,   we have distributed more than 62 pallets of food, fresh produce, meat, and dairy products to more than 30 organizations   across Union County, South Plainfield and North Plainfield to distribute within their communities.

Since the launch of the UWGUC COVID19 Emergency Fund, over 40 families have been referred to our COVID19 application hotline and over 25 applications are in process.

Your generosity is most appreciated and essential in providing vital services to those in need, helping them stay in their homes, keeping the lights on and feeding their families during this unprecedented time.

As we work in the community and plan with our partners, we have learned that thousands of Union County, North Plainfield and South Plainfield families will need long term assistance to financially stabilize after weeks and months of not working. Please consider supporting UWGUC in addressing the long term and lasting impact the COVID19 pandemic will have on our most vulnerable community members.
In case you missed anything
When we distributed food in Elizabeth, our very own VP of Programs and Operations, Juanita Vargas gave us a brief glimpse of the day's efforts (left). A lso helping out that day was the Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders, including Sergio Granados who gave his thoughts in this video .

We thank you for Standing United with all those struggling by providing your generous support during this unprecedented time. For more information and to donate to the UWGUC COVID19 Emergency Fund, we invite you to visit   uwguc.org/covid19 .
