Virtual Drop-Ins for Advising
Through Jan. 22, students may speak with a counselor using virtual drop-ins* from 8:15–11:15 a.m. and 1–4 p.m. daily. To access a virtual drop-in appointment, please follow these steps using the Navigate app:
- Select the "Appointments" widget.
- Select “Schedule an Appointment.”
- Select “View Drop In Times.”
- Select “Academic Advising” as the type of appointment.
- Select “Virtual Drop In” for the service.
- Choose “E. J. Ourso College of Business” for the location
- Select “Check in with first available."
Once you have “checked in” or added yourself to the queue, you will be contacted via email and text to let you know when it is your turn to meet with an academic advisor. A Zoom link for this meeting will be included in the notification, and students will have 10 minutes to join. *The drop-ins may be cut off at an earlier time each day based on the number of students waiting in the queue. Scheduled appointments will not be available during this period. Students should use the virtual drop-ins.

Do you have what it takes to be part of the Ourso Outstanding Eight? This prestigious award program recognizes undergraduate excellence. In addition to public recognition, honorees will receive a one-time $2,500 award.

David & Jeannie Price Scholarship Applications Open
LSU full-time juniors or seniors pursuing a business degree are invited to apply for the David and Jeannie Price Scholarship by Jan. 31. To be considered for this scholarship (one-time $3,000 award), the applicant must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 and be of good character.

Commercial Banking Student Association Spring Kickoff Meeting
Attend the Commercial Banking Student Association meeting for a presentation from David Thompson, Capital Area President for Red River Bank, and an overview of plans for the semester, including the Community Bank Case Study Competition, site visits, and more. CBSA is for students interested in commercial banking, financial institutions, credit analysis, and related careers. Refreshments will be provided.

Share Your Research with Louisiana Legislators
The Louisiana Undergraduate Research Association (LaURA) will host Posters at the Capitol on Monday, March 9. Undergraduate students can apply to present their research posters to Louisiana legislators at the State Capitol. Research should be relevant to Louisiana or of interest to state policymakers. LSU undergraduates interested in presenting their poster at this event should complete the application linked below by January 25. A committee of LSU faculty and staff will select a group of students from the applicants to send to LaURA for final consideration.
Apply by January 25
There is no fee to participate, though students will need to provide their own transportation to the event.

LSU Discover Day Applications Open
LSU's annual undergraduate conference, LSU Discover Day, showcases the research and creative works of undergraduate students from all majors and any accredited college or university. This one-day event allows students to present their work through poster, oral, art, performance, and visual display presentations. Applications are open through Friday, February 20.
