Deadline Alert! First-Gen Students, Share Your Story

Friday, November 8 is First-Generation College Celebration Day. We want to mark the day by featuring first-generation students on Ourso College's social accounts. To be included in this campaign, complete our brief questionnaire by 11:59 p.m. today, Nov. 4.

Apply for Ourso Outstanding Eight

The Ourso Outstanding Eight is a prestigious award program celebrating undergraduate excellence. Honorees will demonstrate success in at least two categories: academics, leadership, professional development, and campus/community service. In addition to being publicly celebrated as part of the Ourso Outstanding Eight, students will receive a one-time $2,500 award.

Application deadline: Saturday, Feb. 1.

LSU community members may nominate a deserving undergraduate business student by Friday, Dec. 6.

Info Session: Jumpstart Your Career with LSUCIA&CRM

A minor or specialization from the LSU Center for Internal Auditing & Cybersecurity Risk Management can jumpstart your career. LSUCIA&CRM graduates are highly sought after, and most move into management within four years. Students who complete the program receive assistance with internships and job placement. The program is open to all LSU students.

It’s the season for thank-you notes! One important step that students often overlook is sending a follow-up thank-you email after an interview. After your conversation, take a moment to send a brief email to the recruiter or interviewer, expressing your gratitude for their time. This small gesture could set you apart from other candidates. Be sure to mention specific points from your discussion and reiterate why you would be an excellent fit for the position.
