LSU Center for Internal Auditing & Cybersecurity Risk Management Marks Leadership Transition
After more than four decades of service to the LSU Center for Internal Auditing & Cybersecurity Risk Management, Glenn Sumners is retiring. As the founding director, he elevated the program to an internationally recognized model for audit education. Jared Soileau, associate professor in the LSU Department of Accounting, will continue the program's tradition of excellence as he takes on the director role in the new year.

Fall 2025 Rucks Fellows Announced
The Rucks Department of Management recognizes outstanding graduating seniors as Rucks Fellows. These students represent the highest level of academic achievement among senior management majors across the department's concentrations. The students chosen for the fall 2025 Rucks Fellows class are December graduates Cameron Beaugh, Britton LeBlanc, Maia Leonard, Claire Nickels, and Matthew Rotolo.

LSU Business Students Finish in Top 1% of Global Challenge
A group of LSU business students finished in the top one percent of worldwide competitors in Bloomberg's 2025 Global Trading Challenge. With 2,394 teams in the competition, Brennan Davis, Dakota Espinosa, and Landyn Sonnier finished in 20th place worldwide and 6th among North American teams. Senior instructor Tish O'Connor, CFA, served as faculty advisor for LSU's competition teams.

LSU announced the company rankings for the 15th annual LSU100 and LSU ROARING20 during a celebration gala on November 14. The LSU100 is a highly competitive program that celebrates the 100 fastest-growing LSU graduate-owned or LSU graduate-led businesses in the world. To be considered for the list, companies must apply each year.

Finding Cybersecurity Confidence Through LSU’s Free Cyber Clinic Program
Many businesses are not proactive about cybersecurity, often believing hackers prefer to target large firms and institutions. But the opposite can be true, according to the LSU Cybersecurity Clinic. The clinic, which provides free services to Louisiana small businesses and includes Ourso College students among its ranks, says cyber criminals can be drawn to small businesses because of their poor security posture or as a stepping stone to larger organizations.
