LSU Launches $1.5 Billion Fierce for the Future Campaign

LSU announced the launch of a $1.5 billion campaign in support of the flagship campus in Baton Rouge, the LSU AgCenter, LSU of Alexandria, LSU Eunice, LSU Health New Orleans, LSU Health Shreveport, LSU’s Pennington Biomedical Research Center and LSU Shreveport. LSU’s Fierce for the Future Campaign is the largest fundraising campaign for higher education in the history of Louisiana.

Three Alumni Inducted into E. J. Ourso College of Business Hall of Distinction

The  LSU E. J. Ourso College of Business  inducted Marcela Donadio, Robert Schneckenburger and Jeff Zehnder into its Hall of Distinction at a banquet held Business Education Complex on Friday, March 22.

LSU Business Alumni Team Up for Restaurant Concept

Walk-On’s  co-owners Brandon Landry and Drew Brees, partnering with local entrepreneurs Jacob Dugas and Scott Fargason, are launching a new fast-casual restaurant concept in Baton Rouge—Smalls Sliders—with a framework that can be scaled for franchise opportunities.

LSU Flores MBA and PAI Programs Move Up in Rankings

The full-time Flores MBA program jumped 14 spots to 69 overall and 36 among public institution. The part-time MBA program broke into the top 100 with the ranking of 99 among public universities, continuing the upward slope in improving over the years. The LSU Public Administration Institute moved up five slots from 65 to 60 among public universities.

SEI Announces New Executive Director

Kenny Anderson has been named the executive director of the  Stephenson Entrepreneurship Institute  (SEI). The Stephenson Entrepreneurship Institute promotes and fosters entrepreneurial practices through education, outreach and research, hosts the Entrepreneurship Fellows Program and manages the Tiger Den Incubator. Franz Lohrke has been serving as the interim director.

For 24 hours, donors will give through the LSU Giving Day website at The site will track gifts in real time, allowing users to view goal progression and participate in challenge gift competitions throughout the day. 

Your gifts will empower LSU to provide extraordinary experiences for Tigers. Give to whichever areas of campus you are fierce for: academics, athletics, and/or alumni engagement.
LSU Department of Finance major elected as Student Government President

Congratulations to William Jewell on becoming the next Student Government President.

Jewell, a LSU Department of Finance junior, and his running mate Taylor Scott, a Manship School of Mass Communication and African and African American studies junior, ran on five main platforms that encompass their ideas and initiatives — enhancing the Tiger experience, transportation reform, improving campus safety, fighting for funding, and health and wellness. 

Jewell said they will work hard to implement their initiatives, but having fun and creating a positive atmosphere on campus is also important.
