32 When Mary came where Jesus was and saw him, she knelt at his feet and said to him, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.” 33 When Jesus saw her weeping and the Jews who came with her also weeping, he was greatly disturbed in spirit and deeply moved. 34 He said, “Where have you laid him?” They said to him, “Lord, come and see.” 35 Jesus began to weep.

"Requiem"
We hear the requiem in its entirety, embracing the ways music and the arts inform our faith. Like the seasons of Lent and Easter, “Requiem” wrestles with questions of life and death. We trust in the spoken promises of our faith – promises like Jesus’s words to us in John 11 – but we also know the truest answers to our prayers can often only be found in something more profound than words.

When have you found your faith effected by music or art? Are there spiritual disciplines you use or could try that use all of your senses?
