Due on Friday, November 20, 2020
Dear Business Owner,

All businesses with Outdoor Activity Permits are required to submit updated information to the Special Events and Filming Office to receive a new temporary Outdoor Activity Permit. This information may include, but is not limited to an updated insurance policy through the duration of the Open Streets Program, December 31, 2020. Failure to provide the City with the required updated information and site map by Friday, November 20, 2020 will result in the expiration of your Outdoor Activity Permit. If you do not wish to renew your Outdoor Activity Permit, please let staff know so we can remove your business from the current list.

If you’re applying for an Outdoor Activity Permit, there are several loan and grant options available that may be used towards your set up modifications. For more information on these programs, please visit COVID-19 Business Support Page.

The Outdoor Activity Permit Application is available to begin the permit renewal process. Please complete and submit the application, as well as any questions you may have, to
Outdoor Dining Tent/Canopy Guidelines

Outdoor dining may occur under a tent, canopy, or other sun shelter but only as long as no more than one side is closed, allowing sufficient outdoor air movement. For purposes of this requirement, an outdoor dining area with temporary barriers (such as plastic curtains, plexiglass, or particle board), present on more than one side of an outdoor dining area is considered closed as it does not allow for sufficient outdoor air movement and is a violation of this section. Any City-issued permits required for any tent, canopy, other sun shelter, or structure used for outdoor dining must be obtained prior to installations and operation.
