UPDATE: OUTDOOR ACTIVITY PERMITS ON HOLD PER HEALTH ORDER
Dear Business Owner,
As Long Beach has substantially similar COVID-19 data patterns to Los Angeles County with numbers currently at alarming levels, the City will be aligning with the County to prohibit in-person dining at restaurants, breweries, wineries and bars beginning 10:00p.m. Wednesday, November 25, 2020 for the next three weeks, at minimum, to slow the spread of transmission in Long Beach. The updated health order will be forthcoming.
While in-person dining is temporarily prohibited, the City will continue to receive and internally process paperwork related to the Outdoor Activity Permits. All business owners with existing outdoor dining in parking lots, on private property, within street closures, and along the Waterfront are encouraged to submit their Outdoor Activity Permit Application in full to SEF-Permits@longbeach.gov, in order to promptly receive a Outdoor Activity Permit once outdoor, in-person dining is allowed again in the City.
If you are applying for an Outdoor Activity Permit, there are several loan and grant options available that may be used towards your set up modifications. For more information on these programs, please visit COVID-19 Business Support Page.
