OUTDOOR ACTIVITY PERMIT RENEWAL
BUSINESS OPEN STREETS
Dear Business Owner,

In the City of Long Beach’s continuous efforts to support our local businesses during COVID-19, the City Council has voted to extend the Open Streets Program through December 31, 2020. In the coming days, Long Beach staff will be working with you to update and renew your existing Outdoor Activity Permit which expired October 31, 2020. Please be advised that renewing your permit may require you to make modifications to your existing set up.

All businesses with Outdoor Activity Permits will be required to submit updated information to the Special Events and Filming Office to receive a new temporary Outdoor Activity Permit. This information may include, but is not limited to an updated insurance policy through the duration of the Open Streets Program. Failure to provide the City with the required updated information and site map by Friday, November 20, 2020 will result in the expiration of your Outdoor Activity Permit. If you do not wish to renew your Outdoor Activity Permit, please let staff know so we can remove your business from the current list.

If you’re applying for an Outdoor Activity Permit, there are several loan and grant options available that may be used towards your set up modifications. For more information on these programs, please visit COVID-19 Business Support Page.

The Outdoor Activity Permit Application is available to begin the permit renewal process. Please complete and submit the application, as well as any questions you may have, to [email protected].

Sincerely,

Tasha Day
Manager, Office of Special Events and Filming
