We believe in a place-based approach that supports physical, cognitive and social-emotional learning  through hands-on experiences in nature. Designed around  5 Guiding Principles , all our curriculum-based programs seek to connect students to themes of Place, Inquiry, Community, Personal Connections and First Peoples’ Perspectives.

Become a Friend of Cheakamus
Become a member today with a $25 or more donation and enjoy exclusive seasonal events at Cheakamus Centre. Memberships run for the calendar year from January – December. It’s not too early to renew your individual or family membership, or to give the gift of membership for the wildlife and outdoor enthusiasts on your list. Donations support our environmental and S k w x wú7mesh cultural education programs, and conservation work.
See Salmon Spawning Up Close
Join us on November 3, 2019 for a family-friendly day discovering the life cycle of salmon. Learn some fun fish facts while exploring the salmon channel trails with local volunteer experts. There is no cost to members, but your generosity helps to make special events like these possible. Suggested donation of $10 per adult at the door. Pre-registration and a Friends of Cheakamus membership is required to participate in this event.
