time President Rogers presented me with the Excellence in Academic Advising and Mentoring award for my work in the ACTION program. I accepted the award with special thanks to Wendy and Cindy in our office who make all of our work come together. At another event, ten BGSU seniors were honored as the Top 10 Outstanding Senior Award finalists. One of the finalists was Sarah Adams, a Cohort 6 senior graduating this month. This was the first time that an ACTION scholar has placed in the Top 10 for this prestigious award. A week later, 17 ACTION scholars were awarded additional scholarships by the College of Education and Human Development. At this ceremony, Sarah was once again recognized by the Class of 1926 by another Senior Award. Also, this year as in the past, multiple ACTION scholars are being recognized for carrying perfect 4.00 grade point averages throughout their four years at BGSU. It was an exciting month for the program and spotlighted the type of work we do in this program - caring for each of our scholars and watching them perform among the best at the university.
