St. John's August Card Challenge
to show we care!
This August help us spread love throughout our community and beyond!

We will be collecting cards, notes and pictures to send to friends, neighbors, and nursing homes. We would love to have cards written and made by ALL ages! 

Please include encouraging messages, prayers, Bible verses and more! 

This is a great opportunity to be the LIGHT in such dark times! 
 
*DETAILS* 
  • There will be a sealed and labeled “CARD” box outside Door A of the church during the month of August to collect cards and pictures 
  • See the links for picture options for kids to color (they can also create their own). Coloring Card "1" - Coloring Card "2"
  • If you have a friend or relative that you would like us to send a card to, please email k.pece@sjlagrange 
  • If you would like to donate to help purchase candy treats or postage for sending cards you can send it in to church with you offering marked “CARING CARDS” or contact [email protected]

PIZZA FUNDRAISER

St. John’s is teaming up with Enzo’s Pizza in La Grange
for a Fundraiser that will deliver a delicious dinner right to you!

14” Large Frozen Pizzas will be available for purchase for $15 each (cheese or pepperoni)

Pick up will be at St. John’s:
Sunday, August 23 (between services)

AND during

St. John’s Lutheran School Classroom Visits:
Monday, August 24th (10:00 AM - 3:00 PM)
Tuesday, August 25th (3:00 - 7:00 PM)
 
MEALS-TO-GO: Sunday, August 16, 2020 from 1:00 - 2:00 PM
 
BLOOD DRIVE: Monday, August 17, 2020 from 1:00 - 6:00 PM

St. John's will be hosting an American Red Cross blood drive on August 17th from 1:00 - 7:00 PM. As you may have heard, there is high demand for blood throughout our area. If you have tried to sign up, you will notice that time slots have filled up.  American Red Cross tests for the COVID-19 antibody therefore the time slots fill up quickly. We are working on scheduling another one in the fall and will publicize as soon as a date is set.  They discourage walk-ins at this time.
