OvarianMonthOvarian Cancer Awareness Month
September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month! Be sure to check out our special programming for this important time.

Ovarian cancer is not well recognized or understood by the general public, so this month, SHARE will be emphasizing the importance of knowing its signs and communicating with your doctor. Common symptoms of ovarian cancer include:
  • bloating
  • frequent urination
  • fatigue
  • feeling full after eating
If you have experienced any of these symptoms for more than two weeks, make an appointment with your gynecologist right away.

SHARE is a partner of the  Ovarian Cancer Research Fund Alliance , which created this helpful  infographic  with critical information on ovarian cancer. Take a look and share with the women in your life so that they are aware, too! You can also call SHARE's Ovarian Cancer Helpline ( 866-537-4273) and speak to a trained peer who understands what you're going through.

PANSurveyPatient Financial Assistance Survey
The PAN (Patient Access Network) Foundation is a national nonprofit organization that helps people living with life-threatening, chronic and rare diseases pay for the out-of-pocket costs of their prescription medications.  PAN is interested in learning more about the financial assistance patients may need to cover the out-of-pocket costs for their medications as well as the challenges patients face when looking for financial assistance.

Please help SHARE support PAN in understanding your needs by taking a secure, anonymous, 5-minute survey about your experience with the financial burdens of cancer.
